A Second Switch

One of the most wonderful things about electrolytic etching is that it only works when electricity is present in the mix. Turn off the power and you turn off the etch!

The second timer that I use is a modified egg timer. It’s super low-tech and I mainly use it with small batteries-no major current going  through here!

UPDATE: I never actually used this much, so I never reeeeeally tested its true efficacy. It survived two studio moves (I think)–maybe I’ll take it out and re-examine the design one day.

(Many of the new posts are going re-dos of older pages that didn’t migrate as neatly over from a previous site. Since they are going to work better as posts, rather than pages anyway, here we go…)
